Amr Diab has released the official music video for “Lola El Banat,” the first official single from his latest album, Habeitek. The video is part of a collaboration with telecommunications company Orange Egypt.
The uptempo track has a danceable rhythm and a catchy, repeated hook, giving it the feel of a typical Amr Diab summer release.
A colourful video by the sea
The music video takes place by the sea and has a bright, festive summer atmosphere. Diab appears in two different outfits and is surrounded by a group of young women, matching the subject of the song. The styling combines modern beach scenes with light Egyptian folk and rural influences.
Sung in Egyptian Arabic, “Lola El Banat” means “If it weren’t for the girls.” The playful lyrics celebrate women’s beauty, kindness and joyful presence, comparing them to flowers, perfume and sweets.
