Saint Levant releases new Palestinian song ‘Daloona’

Palestinian-Algerian artist Saint Levant has released “DALOONA,” a powerful celebration of Palestinian identity and resilience. The track, released on November 25, 2024, via Universal Arabic Music, features collaborations with celebrated Palestinian artists 47Soul, Shadi Borini, and Qasem Al Najjar.

A window into Palestinian joy

“Palestinian culture is nuanced and has depth,” Saint Levant shares about the single. “Right now, we’re suffering immensely. And because of this, to the public and unknowing eyes, the world sees a dark, sad, and partial reality. Just like everybody else in the world, we have moments of joy.”

The release is accompanied by a nostalgic music video directed by Cannes-nominated Gazan filmmakers Tarzan and Arab. Shot on VHS, the video captures the essence of Palestinian wedding celebrations, creating a powerful connection to cultural traditions and community unity.

Cultural Collaboration

The track brings together some of Palestine’s most influential voices:

  • Saint Levant (Palestinian-Algerian artist)
  • 47Soul (Palestinian electronic music collective)
  • Shadi Borini (Palestinian vocalist)
  • Qasem Al Najjar (Palestinian musician)
