Egyptian rapper Wegz and legendary singer Mohamed Mounir have released their long-awaited duet “Kalam Farsan”. The song brings together two different generations of Egyptian music in one powerful collaboration.
A mix of generations and messages
“Kalam Farsan” is part of the second volume of the album “Aqarib”. It was teased for months and finally released in November 2025.
Wegz wrote his own lyrics, while Mounir’s verses were written by Egyptian poet Amir Teima. The song explores themes like loyalty, truth, and personal strength. Wegz raps about staying real and rejecting fake people, while Mounir reflects on trust, heartbreak, and choosing the right friends.
The lyrics say: “Da kalam farsan, da salam la silaah wala wahm ma’ani…” (This is the talk of knights, peace without weapons or empty meanings…)
Huge impact in just hours
The music video quickly climbed the trending charts on YouTube, reaching over 300,000 views within the first 16 hours of release. It also marks Mounir’s first appearance after a recent health scare, making the release even more special for fans.
This project is a strong symbol of unity between generations and a fresh take on blending modern Egyptian rap with deep lyrical meaning.
