Egyptian star Sherine has released two new singles at the same time: “Khayen” and “Kan Andak Kam Sana”. The double release marks the beginning of a new chapter for the singer, as both songs are her first official releases under her new partnership with Warner Music MENA.
The two tracks show very different sides of Sherine. “Khayen”, which means “Traitor”, is an emotional ballad about betrayal and the pain of trusting someone who eventually lets you down. In the lyrics, Sherine moves from heartbreak to the realization that someone who gave up on her is not worth her tears.

“Kan Andak Kam Sana”, or “How Old Were You?”, takes a different approach. Over a more upbeat and energetic sound, Sherine asks when you first learned some of life’s harder lessons: that love can hurt, not everyone has good intentions and some people take without giving anything back.
The double release has already entered the Arabsounds Top 20, with “Khayen” debuting at number four and “Kan Andak Kam Sana” at number nine.
Earlier this year, Sherine also returned with the emotional single “El Hodn Shok”.
